How it works

From install to first forecast, in an afternoon

No implementation project, no consultants on site for a fortnight. Click a step to see what actually happens.

Step one

Install it where the data should live

Regnum ships as a single Windows installer. It sets up the application and its database on the machine you choose: a reception PC, the back-office desktop, or a small server if you have one. Nothing is provisioned in the cloud, and nothing phones home to work.

  • Runs on ordinary hardware, with no dedicated server required
  • Other staff reach it from their own browsers over your local network
  • Works with the internet down; a facility's day should not depend on a link
Step two

Tell it about your practice

A first-run wizard asks the handful of questions that shape everything else: how many sites, what you dispense, who works here and what each of them should be able to see. It takes about ten minutes and can be changed later without a migration.

  • Create sites or storerooms and name them the way staff already do
  • Add users and assign one of four roles
  • Set your currency, financial year and stock categories
Step three

Import the file you already keep

Upload your stock list and whatever else you keep: purchases, suppliers, batch numbers and expiry dates, consumption history, stock received, adjustments, costs, and lead times if you record them. Regnum reads the columns, shows you its interpretation, and asks you to confirm the mapping once. Rows it cannot parse are listed individually with the reason, so you fix them in place rather than starting over. Nothing about how you currently record stock has to change.

Accepts

CSV, XLSX, and exports from most dispensing systems

Reports

Rows imported, rows skipped, duplicates merged

Keeps

Every upload versioned, so any import can be rolled back

Step four

Let the models learn your normal

With history loaded, Regnum builds a consumption profile per item: the ordinary week, the seasonal shape, the items that move in bursts. From that it derives reorder points, expiry risk and the first forecasts. If your history is short, it says so and starts conservative.

  • Twelve months of history gives a strong profile; three months gives a usable one
  • Forecasts refresh as new movement is recorded, with no monthly rebuild
  • You can override any suggestion, and the override is remembered
We will suggest a count before you trust any of it. Forecasts inherit whatever error is already in your records, so the first thing we recommend is physically counting a sample of the medicines that matter and comparing it to the system. It is the same method we run in the pilot, and it takes an afternoon.
Step five

The week, as it actually runs

Most days, Regnum is a glance. The dashboard shows whether anything needs attention; if it does, the alert links straight to the item and the action. Once a week someone runs the refill suggestions and turns them into an order. Once a month the finance export goes to the bookkeeper.

Questions people ask first

The practical stuff

If yours is not here, ask us directly. We answer these ourselves.

No. The installer handles the database and the application together. If you want other computers in the practice to reach it, that is one network setting, and we will walk you through it on a call.

Regnum takes scheduled backups to a location you nominate: an external drive, a network share, or your own cloud folder. Restoring is a single step, and we recommend testing it once so you know it works before you need it.

Yes. Each site runs its own copy and an optional sync gives head office a combined view with facility comparison. Sites keep working normally if the link between them is down.

Stock visibility and alerts work from the first import. Forecasting starts producing numbers within days if you brought history with you, and sharpens over the first two or three months as live movement accumulates. How accurate those forecasts are is a question we are answering with measurement rather than assertion. See how we score them.

Pricing is being finalised ahead of general release. Because Regnum runs on your own hardware there is no per-seat cloud cost baked in, and early-access practices get preferential terms. Ask us and we will tell you plainly where it is landing.

Always, and in standard formats. It is your database on your machine. Any screen that shows a table can export it, and the full dataset can be dumped whenever you like.

Bring us the messiest spreadsheet you have

We will import it, show you what it says, and be honest about what it cannot support yet.
